There are 6 human needs that control your life. They are the driving force behind why we do what we do as people.

This idea is based on what Tony Robbins calls “Human Needs Psychology” that believes all of us have basic needs, not merely desires, but profound needs that underlie and motivate every choice we make.

These are the six basic needs that everyone seeks to fulfil:

  1. Certainty

  2. Variety/Uncertainty

  3. Significance

  4. Connection/Love

  5. Growth

  6. Contribution

HNP also believes that every person values one of these needs more than the others and differently from other people, which explains why we are so unique and different from each other.

And when you have a better understanding of which need you’re trying to fulfil in your life, you can endeavour to meet this need in more empowering and positive ways.

Furthermore, having this understanding can help you appreciate and understand your loved-ones better also, as they too are trying to meet a certain need in their lives.

Having this insight can truly transform your life as well as your relationships with others.

It is also a great prevention and relationship enhancement tool for your marriage.

Having this self-knowledge and awareness will go a long way in improving your relationships and life as a whole.

I always get my coaching clients to do this assessment before starting any sessions.

This gives me tremendous insight into their behaviour and as people, which ultimately fast-tracks the coaching process.

The question is, what will you do with what you are about to discover?

As I see it, you can use it in one of two ways:

One, to excuse yourself and justify why you've settled for your results and quality of life,

Two, use it to improve your results and life as a whole.

It really is up to you.

But regardless, let me know how it goes.

And I hope we can meet in person soon.
